Solaris Zones

Solaris Zones (aka. Solaris Containers) is a light-weight operating system-level virtualization technology. Project Berlin integrates Zones and Grid Engine by allowing each job to run in an isolated Zone.

Xen

A paper called "Xen and the Art of Cluster Scheduling" was published in VTDC 2006. The paper is available for download.

Libvirt

Libvirt could be used to allow Grid Engine to interact with Xen, Sun xVM, and LDoms on the CoolThreads Platform. QEMU, KVM and OpenVZ are also supported by this API.
